Default Oil pressure really high?

My oil pressure is sitting at around 70 just idling cold. My grandpa says the classic " oh its nothing to worry about" but i know its wrong.... Ive seen other people posting about oil pressure. So what is wrong? i just had a headgasket done by a great mech. I wanna fix this if it is a problem...

When you start it up does it immediatly go to 70? Sounds like oil pressure sensor is bad.

Easy its rite above the oil filter and you need a special socket. Most auto parts stores should wave the socket you will need

Mine right after I start it cold will go straight to 80. Once it warms up it will idle around 35-40 and max about 65-70 at 4000RPM.

When mine went bad it was pegged at 70 no matter what. Its a cheap and easy sensor to do, no special socket need just need a deep socket to do it.
