My jeep has always been around 35 oil pressure on idle and rose to around 50 when accelerating. Now it idles around 45 and rises to 70 while acceleration.. as of today.. any thoughts on this.. Thanks.. REDZ

Probably the oil pressure sending unit. They are pretty cheap so you could replace it and see if that helps. If not, I would rent a oil pressure tester and verify those readings are correct.

Jeep oil gauges are not meant to be taken seriously. Hook up a mechanical test gauge if you really want to know what your pressure is.
If in fact it is high there are only 2 causes: spun bearing or clogged oil galley.

^^^This.

The oil pressure sending unit is a very common failure on the Jeep 4.0 engine. If you buy one, I recommend buying a Mopar unit directly from Jeep for the best reliability/accuracy/mating with your factory gauge.

Had the same issue. Replaced my sending unit with a new one and everything is back to reading correctly. Cost me $50.
