Thank you to MS Fowler, and 5-90 to helping me replace my head gasket with very useful information. I have another question that maybe someone can help me out with.

I recently have changed obviously the head gasket, intake exhaust gasket, new exhaust manifold, thermostat, and replaced the oil and filter obviously, and my head was machined, cleaned, exhaust valves replaced and every seal gasket from head up was replaced for the most part.

So Now I'm a little concerned about my oil pressure, after driving around a bit, it usually stays around 45, while driving, about 50 when midly hard on the gas, and when I stop at a stop sign it goes down to about 20 which seems about normal as it was before, but when im idling for a while like at a light, it goes down to about 14-15, this seems low to me, but i could be wrong? Am I?

 

I can tell you the manual says 13 is normal at idle,minr always runs around 20 at idle in the winter and about 15-20 in the summer,what weight oil are you using?
14-15 is ok,you might want to istall a mechanical guage,i have both mrchanical and stock guage.

 

Im using 10-30.
