I have a 2001 XJ with 84,000 on it. I have already replaced a leaking valve cover gasket with a Fel-Pro gasket. I see now I have a leaking oil pan gasket. It is leaking on the drivers side.I just ordered a Fel-Pro gasket for this. How difficult is it to replace and should I consider doing the rear seal at the same time?
Thanks in advance!

Depending on if yours is lifted or not, you may have to jack up the front by the body so the pan won't hit the axle when you try to remove it. Also keep track of the pan bolts. Some are different sizes/lengths. I would punch holes in a piece of cardboard for the bolts to keep them organized. I used special tools made for the pan gasket. They are plastic "screws" that you thread into the block on the 4 corners with a barb on the opposite end to hold the gasket and pan in place. I think advanced auto had them cheap
