Default oil leak, it must be a jeep thing.

So I've been leaking oil for a while now. My undercarriage is coated. I replaced the vcg thinking it was dripping from the back end. Stopped it for a while, but it came back. I'm going to rep tighten the rear bolts to check again. It appears to be dripping off the front of the transmission. Oil adapter and below looks dry, if it is the oil pan then its the very back of it because the front and bottom are clean and dry.

NOW, burning oil. While doing the vcg I noticed the under side was caked in some areas. And then there's this (pics later) my driver's side frame rail is drenched in oil. From where? The airbox as far as I can tell. Pulled the cover and half my new air filter is soaked. Drips down to a bolt below and out the bottom there. I checked my oil level and I can't get an accurate reading? Either that or I over filled it by a ton! Ill do a full oil change this weekend just to be sure. As far as burning oil, if I am, what would cause it?
Thanks! I appreciate it, sorry for no pics but ill get some later.

It could be your rear main seal thats where mines leaking from and it sounds like you might be too, pull the oil pan out and its a u shaped seal where the crankshaft is

I mean burning inside the engine, fumes comes out of the dipstick tube when I check the oil level, and I checked under the hood last night and there was a smoke type stuff all around.

I feel much better about my tiny little steering box leak. That doesn't imply I'm happy about yours. Sorry about your issue.

If those breathers and tubes are restricted, you will have high crankcase pressure pushing the oil out. That's what he's trying to tell you.
