oil change question
I know this is a really dumb question but I dont have a owners manual and you know what happens when you assume...
My Tj took 6 quarts of 10w30 conventional. So am I right in assuming the same for the Xj? I want to be sure Before I dump 6 quarts in..
Thanks guys, and yes I get the retard award of the day...

You may be able to check on Ebay for an owner's manual. You also can get them off the Jeep website, if they have your rig on there: http://www.jeep.com/en/owners/manuals/index.html

Brian this above info assumes that you have a 4.0L 6 cylinder. You may go to the userCP and add that info so when you ask a question we can each look under your name and use the drop down menu which contains your info about your Jeep. And fdulax13 must have been kidding. Fram filters are junk. Buy almost any name brand like Wix, Purolator or NAPA filter and you will get a much better filter with a high rate of filtration.

I would take it back and exchange it for one of those suggested or K&N or Mobil1 almost anything but Fram. I would not put a Fram on if it was free. They are made out of stuff that will come apart and then you have filter junk circulating inside your engine and eventually stopping small oil passages with the debris. Just trying to save you headaches down the road.

I used the fram filter. I've used fram on all my cars and never had any problems... The oil I used was Valvoline Premium conventional 10w30.
