Did you even read the OP? I said I don't have a owners manual and didn't want to assume. Thanks for playing....

lol O'Reilly has a sweet deal going on right now. 5 quarts and a filter for $8.47 - Puralator filter and Castrol oil.

You might have some luck looking for an owners manual on eBay. I would try to find one from somewhere to keep in the Cherokee.

A Haynes manual will also give you the information. It will also give you other info that the owners manual will not give you such as torque specs and wiring diagrams.

There was a Haynes in my Cherokee when I got it and I was very unhappy with it. The owners manual and the FSM are the two references that I trust. That is why I failed to recommend the Haynes. Chiltons may be better, never looked at one.

Never had a problem with a haynes manual. A owners manual has only been useful to me to see how to program the radio. Never used a Chilton and my FSM is on my computer and yes it very useful.

Mine had too many missing things or glossed over things and it never had the pics that I needed. So I was very disappointed with the Haynes. Most of what I have needed has always been in my actual FSM that I bought from a guy on another website a few years back. It has answered most of my questions as they poped up.

I have Haynes, Chiltons and FSM along with FPM(factory parts manual) and between the haynes and chiltons you will find errors in both but having both you can do anything and get the correct info..

Haynes manuals are wonderful....

Thanks to them my work bench has no drink rings on it, and my sandwhiches never need to sit on a metal particle covered work bench or a dirty shop rag..

Thanks to them I have no wobbly table legs.
Thanks to them my really short wife can drive the Jeep without hurting anyone.

So you pull your dipstick and take it to the parts store and say 'I need this much oil"......
