oh really? stay away from rustys? all right...Rough country is cheaper anyway, so i am ok with going with RC. Also, i have heard that re-gearing the dana 30 and 35 is just a waste of time, and money, because its not that strong anyway, and it will just break, anybody have any thoughts on that?

dana 30 is plenty strong enough to run 33s and 35s with little modifications. dana 35 is just pure junk. swap is out for 29 spline 8.25. you should probably do a lil research yourself to see where you stand

all right, maybe ill just swap in a ford explorer axle with 4.10's, and then re-gear my front axle, and put in a selectable locker.... jeeps are a money pit... oh well, i love it anyway.

Gearing, I guess, is all preference cause some people dont mind the stock gearing, while some want as much power put to the ground as possible. There are bigger beefier axles you can buy for your D30, and from what Im told its quite capable anyway. Most people though swap out the D35 for a D44 or 8.25.
I dont really plan on going any bigger than a 33" tire. Im not building some Crazy Rock Crawler, I just want to explore and go where I want to go...which usually consists of dirt, mud, sand, trees, and some rocks, all the while still being able to function as a DD.
