Odd click
Anybody know what would cause an odd clicking noise when turning left on an 85 xj only a 3 inch lift with 30 inch tires. Tires do not rub seems to be coming from under hood and visually can't see rubbing but can hear it

Does it only click a couple of times when you turn or is it a constant clicking and and does it increase and decrease with your speed? If so you should also check your wheel bearings.

If its parked and idling and I turn the steerin wheel left it clicks. When I'm driving and turn left it clicks. Does that answer your question? It clicks whenever ri turn left with I'm parked or drivin it.

That helps a lot. More likely to be steering that needs grease, or some other component.
Either way crawl under your Jeep and start checking things out with your hands. You're in a much better position to find the source than we are!

put your jack stands under the axel with the tires hanging loose. Grab the top and bottom of the tire and shake it, while a second person watches what moves that should not. if nothing then grab tire front to rear and shake it that way.
