Hey guys,
I have a 1999 Cherokee 4wd i6 aw4. It's had the p0705 Range sensor code since I bought it. I tried to get original NSS off but it broke. (My fault..) Got a new rock auto switch as they are $300 anywhere else. Install, adjust, reset computer. Engine light comes back on. I have adjusted it several times and cleaned all connections etc. Well I have another Cherokee. A 2000, same drivetrain. I stole the NSS from it and installed it on the 99. Adjusted it. Reset computer. Same problem. Light comes back on. I even took it back off, took it apart cleaned it and put it back on. Same thing. I know the OEM switch is good because the 2000 Cherokee never threw a light ever for the switch. Always started in park and neutral etc. The 1999 starts in park and neutral, reverse lights and overdrive work. But engine light is still coming back on. Every time. Idk what to do at this point. I need to get it inspected. Any help would be appreciated.
