Np 231 to np242 swap
I have a 1995 jeep cherokee country with an NP231. I also have a wrecked 1989 jeep cherokee Larado with an np242 j transafer case. I have the whole wrecked jeep
Is a 1989 NP242 interchangeable with a 1995 NP231
Is a 1989 NP242 interchangeable with a 1995 NP231

95 has 23 spline input, '89 has 21 spline input. Look on Craigslist they're cheap and available. I believe it's '94 and later has 23 spline inputs.
