timing is not adjustable, so that can't be it,
start with the basics..
spark
air
fuel
check the firing order..
once you do all that, come back with your results.

And if you know someone with a scanner that does older Chrysler veichles you might have a code that can be pulled that can lead you in a direction

Instead of *****ing about the title, since most "responses" have done that already (though it is not really appropriate):
If you really think its a timing, the only thing could be that the Dist is 180* out.
Try that...

check this out, http://www.go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoStarterClean.htm
thats probably not the entire problem, but when i cleaned mine out it started up much faster and smoother so it might help some.
probably not censored because its not spelled normally with 4 letters

Does it have gas in it? Has it been sitting a long time? With the amount of information you have given, it does not really do a lot of good.
Does your fuel pump work? My buddy had to replace one.

it only gets " *'ed " out when the word is recognizable by the server. since he used multiple letters to dddrrrraawwww the word out, it was not recognized in the system. it's one of those "must spell correctly" type of deals.

SOORRY GYS. Just that I'm pretty mad. Its just like I posted before I dint have enuf money to buy a part that I didn't nee. But I have spark. And as for fuel I dnt get any fuel from the top two lines. But thw harder fuel lines from the bottom have gas in them. But I crank it and it doesn't pass more gass. But we sprayed starting fluid in the t.b and still no start. I am going to clean the starter ryt now its not muddy but very dirty. THANKS

well done, like was stated before, fuel, spark, compression. if you sprayed it with starting fluid and it didn't fire then you have no spark. and you said you have already replaced a part you didnt need. my advice. get a haynes manual and read. test and troubleshoot the problem. if you throw parts at it, sooner or later you'll get it. but how much will that cost you?
