Default no heat .... in a bind

So my fan stopped blowing, what fuse is it? Im 300miles from home, if its not a fuse how hard is it to replace n were is it at? I can feel faint heat from the vents bur my fan /blower wont turn on any ideas kinda im a bind?

Post year/engine.

Have you checked the kick panel fusebox; usually there is a legend with what fuse covers what circuit on the cover. Same with some (not all stuff) in the power distribution center; the black box under the hood.

Or just start checking fuses one by one and see if you find a blown one.

My legend is all jacked up, lol can't feel my fibers and my flashlight died and my extra battery exploded...bad day

give a good smack. sometimes the brushes get dirty. does it only work on high or just not at all. its under the pass. side lower dash it may have a plastic shroud over it. turn the switch on and give it a good smack. cant hurt.

If the fuse is blown, it usually indicates a bigger problem. Replacing the fuse usually is not going to hold. Replacing the blower motor is not that big of a deal on most XJs. Before you do so, run power directly to the motor from the battery. If it doesn't run, you have smoking gun evidence that the motor died.

My 91 had a fuse for the blower motor under drivers side by the kick panel. You can try that but jumping the blower motor to the battery is a quick way to see if if works
