There's a check valve on the fuel pump assembly. It has a tendency to go bad over time. Also, are your injector o-rings good?

[QUOTE=joshga171;1809836 I heard the jeep run today for the first time in 2 months. The only problem I am having a fuel injector prim problem once it starts they run fine/QUOTE]

If you can be a little more clear, I'm sure somebody here can help. Your fuel pump circulates fuel around and past the regulator, and is normally "primed" while its running. (I think).

If you can, give her a good tryout. Run it a bit. I'm personally not big on oil with "5W" on the label for an old engine, and getten' caught with less than 50/50 on your coolant with a real freeze will hurt you!

Nowit'z goen , let's se what's up! Well done btw!!!!

It's my guess Outlaw is referring to this check valve, I don't think it affects the actuall runing of the Jeep, but the time it takes cranking.

They injectors should have a pulse for a second when the key is turned on to start up. Just enough to put a little. Gas in the cylinder mine is not doing it I am going to trace some more wires and check pressures and the regulator tomorrow

Thanks for all the help youguys.

Bingo. Crank time was what I gathered with the bad spelling. Lol

Ha! , would you like me to send you some Pete? It's Oregano!, IIRC. I gave it up. Basel is what really works for me. After a full scale raid with choppers and 8 rigs with guys in cammo & vests to "harvest" the results of planting 1/2 dozen of the wrong seeds in 89, I thought I'd give that one a rest.

Way cool Josh. Now you can find the other problems. In your shoes, I'd be plenty curious WHY were they burnt. Rubbing and vibration can work through the insulation. Not your issue here, but copper is not "springy", at all, it breaks inside there. Sometimes you can feel that it's not right.

Good possibility those "wires" are fusible links......

Hey, Cruiser, a guy here I thought was pretty sharp, posted that the "link", was just a smaller gauge wire. Not my place to disagree, but I just don't know what's up there. Some alloy? Do you happen to know what's up there, how that works?. I suppose if I could make one, I'd make an alloy that went open when it got hot??

Thanks! To busy with the garden to go and short one to see. I guess the other poster was mistaken. That does make sense, plenty of metals will "give it up" at temps that are not so high.
