Default transmission cooler line broke

alright so it was raining yesterday and long story short hydroplaned into a field. my guess is when the suspension compressed it hit the line, bent it/broke it and now it needs to be replaced.

in the above picture i believe the line that broke is the one on the left. but need to go back for further inspection now that it stopped raining
2 questions

1. i drove about 2.8 miles with it leaking, is that enough to mess it up internally?
2. when i replace the part, what part do i need (part number)?, and when i replace it do i need to bleed the lines or anything

I've never done any work near or on a transmission so i don't know a lot about this type of stuff. plz help thanks in advance and will keep this updated when i can,
and i imagine its one of these three just not sure which one: http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...p2HomeClicked=

turns out both lines got crushed. took them off got new ones went much easier than i thought and cost about 115$ for parts and new fluid. worst part was the cold damp weather.

only question i have now is anyone know how to prevent this from happening again?

Drive more carefully? You could always make some kind of skid plate for the tranny in addition to the OEM cross member. I wouldn't think the lines hung down low enough for that to be a common problem. I doubt you'll run into that same thing again

im having the same issue and so is one of my bros. guess we are getting a lot of flex for sure, but the lines are getting pinched by the oil pan just below the oil filter. mine aren't leaking but they are pinched all the way shut :/... im trying to think of a way to make a gaurd but no luck yet

What ^ said but if u can do a single flare then youll only need one line clamp... Not under a ton of pressure... Looks a bit cleaner...

I routed mine up and over the brown dog motor mount. Well that was when I had the tranny cooler up front, now its behind the passenger seat with its own fan
