i hear tj/yj soft doors fit very nicely in an xj 4 door frame, i saw a pic somewhere a while back and it fit like a glove with the exception of the corners where the wrangler doors are rounded and xj's are square.

Before you take off your doors remember it weakens your frame a good bit. With having a 2 door your in a little bit better shape then a 4-door because the 2-doors a little stronger. I would get frame strengtheners before you do so and what not. After a couple of times wheeling I bet you will have a hard time getting the door to go back on because of the frame being twisted.

This is absolutely 150% false! The doors on an XJ (regardless of 2 or 4 door) add no structural strength to the body what so ever. If you don't believe me, search any other Cherokee forum regarding this subject. This subject has been covered extensively.

I'm betting the 2-door model has longer doors right? Maybe you can get the tomkin front doors from the 4-door model and just cut down the middle, lengthen them a little with tubing and weld it back up. That's if you can weld....i can't
Speaking of removing doors, is it legal on the road?
