Fuses are good wiring looks good and everything else works. Could just that one section of the switch be bad? Is this common?

do all your running lights work.... break lights, running lights turn signals etc...?
Everything else works fine

The rheostat in the headlight switch could be bad. This provides the dimming for the gauges. Pull your switch and see if you have 12v going to the gauges.

Hi all, i wonder if anybody can help me!?
I have a 93 cherokee that all of a sudden blew the 5 amp instrument panel/radio/interior lights fuse. I replaved the fuse, turned up the headlight dimmer switch and pop - it blew again. I have had every bulb/component i can think of unplugged but it still blows the fuse when i turn up the dimmer switch. So i decided to replace the headlight switch - with no joy.
Any help would be fantastic
