No brake lights to No BUS!!
Someone yelled out to me on the road today that my brake lights were out, so I pulled off the road to check with my daughter. They were right I had no tail lights so I went through the fuses and they were all good. But when I tried to turn the engine over it wouldn't start! I had this problem before and replaced the crankshaft position sensor. So I cleaned and greased all the battery posts, relay box connections and the fuses that run the brake lights and ignition switch. I'm thinking the ECM finally went but wondering if there are any other suggestions?

The CPS has nothing to do with your taillights. Neither does the PCM. So let's look elsewhere.
After you cleaned up your connections, did the tail lights come back?

Just because the fuses are good, does not mean you are getting power to everything. it could be faulty wiring or another component. You say it wont start, which is pretty self explanatory. Then you say it wont turn over. Many use those two descriptions differently. Some say "it wont turn over" when it does not crank, while others say "it wont turn over" when it cranks, but wont start. Do you hear any clicks when you turn the key?
You say you also have a No Bus. Try this. Disconnect the crank sensor and see if the No Bus is gone. If it is, the crank sensor has shorted and needs replaced. Try that before messing with the PCM. You say you replaced it once before. What brand was it? If it was anything but Mopar, its suspect.

Not starting or not turning over, it's engaging but the motor won't kick in. Pumping gas pedal isn't helping any so I don't believe its the pump. That was replaced when I did the crankshaft position sensor. Which was not mopar.

We can't help you unless you communicate clearly. Right now things are clear as mud. Let's try again with some ground rules:
- "Cranking" usually refers to the action of turning the key in an attempt to start the engine. Example: "What happens when you crank it?"
- It may also be used as a synonym for "turning over". This simply refers to the action of the starter motor moving the engine around so that it can start. This does NOT have anything to do with the engine actually running. You could crank it for days (if you had a big enough battery) with no fuel in it, and of course it would never start. "Cranking" or "turning over" does NOT mean that the engine runs.
- "Starting" means that the engine has been turned over by the starter and the cylinders fire when they are supposed to. Sometimes an engine might start and then immediately die.
- Are you saying that it turns over, but does not start?
- If so, do you get ANY firing of any cylinders? Does it even cough once or twice?
- How is the cranking speed? Does it sound like it's turning over at a normal speed? Or is it very slow?
- Have you tested for spark?
- Do you have any spark?
- Have you tested for fuel?
- Have you tested fuel pressure?

Turning over, trying to start no kick backs. No check engine lights. Fuel pressure testing and position sensor will have to wait. I have to get the jeep back home.

Okay, we'll be here when you're able to get back. Not fun having to drag a car home. BTDT!
