Nice riding 3" coils?
Pretty much what the title says, I am looking for some 3" lift coils that ride well and was wondering what you guys would suggest. I would love to retain a stock like ride if possible since my XJ sees a lot of street time. I will be running them with JK shocks, the basic ones not the Rubicon shocks. From what I've read these should be nice riding shocks.
I was looking at Rough Country coils, I read on one vendor's site that they give a stock like ride, but I have also read on here that they are a bit stiff, so I'm not sure?
I was also looking at Rusty's springs, they look nice but I don't know much about them. Any comments?
Or should I go with something else alltogether? There are a lot of options out there but some of them are a bit pricey, I was hoping to go with something around $150 or less, the main reason I was looking into the two options above...

Shock will play a big role in ride quality as well.
As for RC vs R, I had 6.5" RC coils with relatively nice shocks. I use to joke that when I ran over a quarter I could tell if it was head's or tail's. Extremely stiff... BUT, those were 6.5s. I suppose since all lifted springs will have a much higher spring rate than OE the higher you go the higher the spring rate (obviously a huge generalization, but you get what I'm saying). My vote is to find the right height you're looking for in essentially the lowest spring rate offered and match your shocks to it.

The Rusty's springs are 150 lbs and I hear the stockers are only a few lb's less (like 147-148), so I will probably go with those, the price is right too. But I'll probably call RC tomorrow and see what spring rate their 3" coils are just because they are in the same price range. As far as RE, I think they're a bit stiffer although I have heard they ride nice...

The rubicon express flex crazy good. I am not sure about ride quality because I have added spacers to make it's 4.5 instead of 3.5 so it's a little rough. That about all I can input

Still undecided, lol. They are all pretty similar prices since I can get the RE springs locally. The Rusty's are cheapest but their shipping is really high...
RC told me their 3" coils are 150lbs, so are the Rusty's... but people seem to say RC rides stiffer.
I have a feeling I will go for the RE spings since they're and extra .5" taller... I can't recall seeing any ride complains on RE stuff... any comments on that?

I love my Rusty's. Saidly no extreme off roading/flexing but I LOVE the ride. They ride good on the street and they arent too hard on your wallet. Just saying.
