NGK spark plugs?
the 2000 and 2001 came with the coil on plug and ngk's. that is what i would stick with. on these years you could try others but i know they don't like the autolights.
Are you guys buying the champions from the parts store or the dealer?
I read something on NAXJA that the ones from the dealer are actually a little different / better than the ones at the parts store. Of course they are three x's the price too...

Update -
I went ahead and changed the plugs to Champions, got them at O'reileys for $1.69 ea. I figured what the heck, however I didint figure on ruinging two of the wires when pulling them off the plug
. So, I put new wires on at the same time. Of course Jeep didnt stock, so I went to NAPA and got the Benden lifetime warrany ones for $30. Even the stealer advised that when they dont have the wires in stock they will sometimes use the NAPA ones.
The NGK's looked a little carboned up, even after less than a 1000 miles. I did a little reasearch and found that the NGK's have a different heat range than the Champs. Maybe this contributed?
Still runs the same......
It looks like the wires were about 5 years old or so (only 20k miles) so I guess it didnt hurt to swap them out, but geeze!
If it wasnt for bad luck I would have no luck at all!
