Try having someone push in and wiggle the clip that goes to the coil. There should also be a rubber water resistant thing on the plug. But some times with age the plug wairs down and won't make a good connection. It happened to me!

The (Thing) I was talking about is just a crinklly piece of rubber to keep moisture out. It keeps the plug from wigling around its blue or green I can't remember oh yellow? Anyway not talking about a sensor just the plug that supplies power to your coil and if those wires are spliced. It could be your prob it would be my first guess. If it were me I would trace the wire all the way back through the harness (it probably goes to the motor fuse box) then go to a junk yard and get one to replace it.
You could try to re splice it but it should be only like $5-10 to do it right. Junk yards are your friends!
