hello. i just ordered a 3inch lift for my 96 cherokee. it is going to be used mainly for road and maybe some trails from time to time. my question is what size tires and rims? i was thinking of just going with the 30's i kinda of like the look of some space in the wheel wells but no too much. what size rims would i need and what are the tire sizes that i should be looking for in the stores? (the number sizes on the sides) thanks

Most common for a 3" lift is 31x10.5R15.

15" Black Steels off Summit racing for like $50 a piece.

If you plan on doing any off roading in soft stuff I would go with 31s. And 15" wheels will be good. Your size options are 30x9.5x15, 31x10.5x15, and 31x11.5x15

Or 31x12.5R15, or 31x13.5, there are endless possibilities that he could put on there.

Do you want to trim or not?

Or even 31x9.5.

What kind of off roading are you going to be doing, aspect ratio of road to offroad driving?

Example: For every 5 times on the road Ill go once off the road.

Highway Driving? City? Country Roads?

Default thanks for the info

i am currently not into the off road thing but after i put this work into i am sure i will be going but probably only a few times a year so 95 percent will be road and highway so the extreme tire are not needed.

If this is the case then I would recommend 30x9.50 BFG ATs.They do well off road and don't tear your mpgs up and last a really long time.

Default Tires and wheels

I still have not figured out what size yet. What are the best and cheapest Internet sites? I am always a fan of the free shipping if any of them have it. I was quotes $75 a wheel at a local place for the black with the red and blue pinstripe. Forgot the name for the wheels and $125ish for the Yokohama tires. Didn't sound like a bad deal and a local guy would get my money. but the lift won't be on for a few weeks so I have time to bargin shop. Thanks again
