just picked up this 90 limited, and wouldnt shift out of 1/2. i tried manually and still wont. picked up a junkyard transmission and started doing the swap tonight

question #1: what should i run for fluid?

question #2: does any local chain stock the header pipe? mine was rotted and leaking bad. i know autozone doesnt

i've been researching, but im not familiar with these or any rwd/4x4's..im a vw guy trying something different..any help would be appreciated!

 

AW4 trannies take dex/mercon fluid. The guy at (insert auto parts store) is going to tell you that all chrysler products use atf fluids. AW4's are not chrysler products so tell him pffhhhht! Your year was probably dex2 but dex3/mercon is what you're gunna find. Idk if any local chain would stock the pipe. Probably cheaper off the net anyways.
