New radio
I recently discovered that my radio is no longer working in my 98 Cherokee, so I decided to begin looking on Crutchfield and I'm a bit confused on which to pick.
The three options are
With the infinity system.
Without infinity system with two speakers.
Without infinity system with four speakers.
I don't have the infinity system so that's one down, how do I know which of the other two to pick?

Do you have door speakers?
Do you have rear speakers in the headliner at the rear near the hatch?
There you go.

I dont think it matters when switching headunits. Pick whichever you want. Unless youre doing new speakers too. Also, make sure you shop around a bit once you know what youre after. Might I suggest JVC for a budget brand.

I went with them for my radio replacement for my 94 Jeep Cherokee with 4 speakers (front and back) and I was very happy with the service. Call them and they will suggest a radio. I did that; they suggested one, I did a review and found what I thought was a better one and they beat the price. I had some problems with the installation and they help me out. I think you need to decide how much you want to spend, what options you need/want and go for it!

I love crutchfield. Sometimes I'll just go on there and play around. The site is super easy and they help in anyway they can. Their **** is cheap too. I put my head unit and door speakers in on my own. If I were you, buy an adapter for the wiring harness. Without this, it is an EXTREME pain in the rear end to find where all the wires go. I paid $15 for my harness and it was well worth it. It only took my 15 minutes to change out my head unit. The speakers take 5 minutes tops for each door. This was probably the easiest thing I've done to my Jeep. The subwoofer and amp was another story lol

I dont know if its still this way as I bought my radio from crutchfield in 2010, but it used to be if you bought one over a certain price they included the adapter for free. The adapter makes it so easy anyone can do it... as long as you can see colors.

Those tiny buttons for all those options are a real PITA!!!
I put a Sony gee-whiz-bang radio in my Tundra. One, I couldn't read what the buttons did, then they were so small often hit the wrong button. I reinstalled the OEM radio.
Check the fuse on your Jeep radio, if your sure it's dead, check ebay.

Before you get an aftermarket radio, consider this.
