Well welcome to being an XJ owner. Also welcome to the wonderful world of the 4.0L engine. Noise is fairly normal. My 4.o sounds like a diesel and even acts like one when shutting down, it actually shakes the whole jeep as it comes to a stop. The oil past the fill cap is a new one to me... maybe your cap is not sealing and needs to be replaced? As for the oil pressure it seems like that is around where mine is running and i have 109K on it now. All in all it sounds like a typical jeep with a 4.oL engine. Happy trails and enjoy!

If oil is coming out the fill cap, then either the engine is way too full, or the PVC valve built into the valve cover is clogged up. Any oil vapor that needs to come out should be coming out the PVC hose and running to the intake.
As for 'knocking' while running, is it a loud knock, or rapid little ticking knocks? The latter is lifter noise and fairly normal.

No pcv its ccv give the right info. If you know what a PCV valve is compare it to whats on the jeep valve cover empty 90's pvc valve wasn't hallow. Common SenseThat way he can find the right parts IF NEEDED.
