Ok heres part of the plan I can't afford $550 for a set of Teraflex disc brake sets so i am looking at putting on a Ford 8.8 Rear Axle w/disks on my xj. Has anyone else tried this and are there any hidden complications I should be aware of before attempting this.

 

tons of people have dont it just make sure you have the right angle and everything when you relocate the leaf spring perches

 

Well I havent done it but I heard thaT explorer will fit but you need to weld shock mounts.

 

If all you want is disc brakes get some off a ZJ. They will fit the 35, 44 and 8.25 and will be a good bit cheaper and easier than an axle swap.
