Default New to Jeeps... looking for advice/tips

Hey peeps my dad just brought home an 88 cherokee and we've got a few questions... we are pretty sure it's already lifted but want it to be taller and ride softer. Right now it measures 19" to the rocker panels and has 225/75R15's on it. We need the smoothest ride possible because my dad has a broken back and it'll be towed behind a motorhome and just used for sand/mountains probably no hardcore rocks.

All the lifts from like Rubicon Express ask for the diff type and transfer case type... do we get that from the vin? Are there any tips for performance that'll still let it pass smog?

Heres some pics probably have alot more questions in the future,

Should be a tag on the T/C. R.E. are really nice lifts, you can also check in to BDS (Big Dick's Suspension) those 2 are equal in my opinion.

Dana 35 rear end will look like an oval without a flat ledge on the bottom, chrysler 8.25 will look like an oval WITH a flat ledge on the bottom. And it sounds like you have the np242 transfer case.
