NEW TO JEEPS
I am about to get my cherokee in a month or two and have had some questions. This will be my DD and weekend wheeler. I am in highschool and live in Colorado. I have been looking at some 4.5 in. kits and am wondering if it is to much or to little. Also what tire sizes, gears, and upgrades should i plan on doing. I have a buddy whoes cousin was in the military as a machanic so all of the work will done by me and him.

There are plenty of threads I would start with the every lift and tire set up thread!

Read over a lot and find what you want to do.

Depends on all what the jeep is going to be used for. What year and model is the Jeep. QUESTIONS TO BE ANSWERD... WILL THIS JEEP BE A DAILEY DRIVER MEENING WILL IT BE DRIVEN CONSTANTLY BACK AND FORTH. NOT JUST OFF ROADS. HOW MUCH MONEY DO YOU GOT TO PUT INTO IT. AND A 4.5 IS GOOD IF ITS GOING TO BE USED ONLY FOR OFF ROAD.

Go BIG for a daily driver, 15 inches of lift, put ten inch blocks and a 5 inch shackle, you can make yourself them out of some wood blocks and make thin wood and brace it good you can put them for you shackle. For up front get a ten inch spacer for the top out of a roll of paper towls that got wet and dried up and then put a 5 inch spacer on the bottom. Then put some 45 inch tires on it. Itll do fine on the road
lol, sorry i had to. 3 inches is the most id go if its just for looks and not ridin off road
