In one day my heater fan stopped working when i had the ac on, while i was middle of a u-turn. then it came back on. after a few more minutes of driving it stayed off. It will come back on if i leave the fan at low, but then it will only stay on for a few minutes.

 

i fixed the problem, someone else who owned the jeep before me rewired the power for the a/c ,heater fan. where they crimped the wire it got hot enought to melt the wire cover and part of the dash. I put in a heavier guage wire and soldered back together. now i have more air flow.

 

Good thing you found it before it caught on fire.
