New to Jeep any help?
ok ive seen what jeeps can do and how much fun people have with them.
i have finally broke down and got a 95 cherokee sport
im working with a budget but first thing id like to do is a lift.
ive have also found a few threads on here about other budget ideas and how to which is great
with the lift i was wondering where i could find 3" lift with good quarlity for a resonable price. with my current budget and i cannt afford skyjacker lol
id like to lift it more but for now itll have to do untill i can adjust everything else that come with 6" lifts
also if i go with 31x10.5x 15 will i be able to use my current stock rims or will i have to buy new ones?
thank in advance

Look into Rubicon Express or Rough Country for your lift, although I don't have any experience with them alot of people here like them and they're pretty reasonable. Yes, you can run 31-10.50's on stock wheels. Welcome to the XJ addiction.

Rough Country is pretty cheap and has a decent ride. Rubicon Express has a more complete kit and has a very good ride, but it also costs a lot more. Its all about how much you are willing to spend.

it matters what you wanna do to lift it. my friend just had coil spacers and add a leafs for 90 dollars in his 93 XJ, but i bought the 3.5'' rubicon full lift kit with the leaf springs for my 91 XJ and i love my lift. i would say to spend more and get the full lift cause the parts don't sag with the full lift. check out Quadratec too. they have a bunch of XJ parts. research there. here is a link, http://quadratec.com/default_cherokee.php?globv=Cherokee

with either kit is there any extra's i should buy
i guessing with the rusty's kit i should get control arms
but is there anything else i should add such as stabilizers, break line extention kit, ext.
i also noticed rustys didnt say it included a track bar relocation kit
is this something thats needed
this is basicly going to be a learning build for me but not something i want to have things break and have to replace them
all said and done minus the fab i plan to do myself and vehicle cost and winch cost im look at around 4k budget but will break that to do it right

To figure out what rear Axle you have take a gander at the differential and compare it's shape to the two on the top of this picture. If you have ABS you will have the Dana 35. If you don't you could have either.

this is just my personal opinion.
if you want the 3" kit for better looks, you will not need anything more than the lift kit. for decent offroading, it's better to get HD lower control arms, an adjustable trackbar, longer brake lines, front swaybar drop bracket, HD steering stabilizer, slip yoke eliminator, make some sway bar quick disconnects, and keep a pair of shackles handy, they're pretty cheap.
