I think this is the first thread I've ever seen go this long over a Heater Control Valve.
Such a simple little device that turns the water flow ON or OFF and controls the flow.
Wth?? Now I'm rambling..

It is a long and old thread, but it has a lot of good information in it for a wanna-be-self-maintaining jeep owner.
Way back in post 7 is a picture of the heater core getting flushed. Does anyone have a picture of what it looks like at the actual connections to the heater core on a 95ish XJ?
I've spent hours searching so if there are easily findable photo's I'd appreciate the keywords to find them.
Thanks

In case somebody may "wonder" how that thing works, as I was puzzling myself for sometime
, I've made these pics, to show what goes where when the valve is open and closed.
That is as I understand it, hope I am correct. Someone who knows for sure, If I'm incorrect, please, correct me .

Ok , mine just has a valve on one (1) hose (to heater, I believe) it's Metal, probably OE, doesn't leak, and has got to be older than you people's plastic ones (1989).
You should replace that plastic POS with a '87-'90 style.
It's behind the hose in the pic
