One year or so later, still same "fixed" valve from Advance Auto, still "upside down" and works perfectly and no leaks, not a single drop, that is.... see attached

its upside down bottom line delete it pplug the vac line shut up and call it a day 3 ft of 5/8 and 3ft of 3/4

I DID, more than a year ago at post #25.
The valve works fine with NO PROBLEMS since then.

Hey, REVIS 24, keep reading through this thread, (and through the entire board too ! ), you (I mean ALL of you inside of you ) may learn something.

Maybe someday you'll actually know a thing or two about about parts (what they actually are, how they work etc) , that you are buying at "parts.dot.com" or wherever.

It's all good.

I'm on the second of these POS plastic valves in 3 years, and mine have always leaked as described. In my humble opinion it's a crappy design, and I'm done giving money to these people who can't figure out how to do it right. Trying to fix the valve or seal it better may be an interesting exercise, and I wish you luck,but I'm going to fix the problem by dumping the valve and running straight hose to the heater core with a ball valve that I can turn off in summer and on in winter. Problem solved.
