you just wan't to be able to get it started?

run a wire running from power, to a switch, to the starter solenoid.

Keep and eye on your started if it's starting to act funny. I thought I needed to check my NSS because it was acting similar to what you described, along with occasional slow cranks and stuff. Ended up being that my starter was on it's way out. It finally died this past weekend. Went to start it up and got nothing when I turned the key. Smacked the starter with a hammer, and then it worked. So we picked up a remanned starter from Advance for $70 and put it on. Works much better now.

You could just put your jeep in neutral and start it. Thats what I had to do to one I used to own.
