does a 94 xj 4.0 automatic trany rig have a neutral safty switch if so weres it located and will a nss from a 93 grand interchange grade has same equipment

 

Yes, it has a NSS, it's located on the passenger side of the tranny, just look up NSS on the o'reilly's or autozone,whatever website and they'll have a pic of it on there. Don't know if the switch off a GC would work or not, I'd just cross reference the part #'s on one of the parts stores websites.

Most NSS just need cleaning and regreasing to work properly. A search here should provide a few links to good write-ups on this.

 

If you do clean it, be VERY careful. I lost one of the little copper contact things, now I've gotta buy a new nss, that little piece of copper cost me about $200! So be careful!, lol.
