Default need a wiring and fuse box diagram | 1989

I found some wires that might have been torn loose form who knows where, dangling like gramps berries just near the brake pedal and i'm sure that my foot pulled 'em loose, which might be the reason i've got no juice from the ignition...anyone got a diagram?

thnx

That would be a big file!!!

I ended up tearing the lower dash area down and spent a good amount of time just looking around and finally found the plug that was pulled. got it back to running again...i love zip ties!

I might take you up on the manual sometime soon! I've got lights that I need to work into the elec somehow.

itsanxjthing: I could use a wiring diagram for my 89 Cherokee! Does this site have a private message function where we could communicate?

Hi - any chance you can email me the service manual too? I'm trying to figure out some wiring on my AW4 trans swap into an 87 - using an 89 harness, etc. If so my email is: mordway@exponent.com

Cheers!
Mark

Try http://cruiser54.com/?page_id=365 for tech info

I highly recommend going through his wonderful collection of Renix tips too. http://cruiser54.com/

If you're crossing years on the AW4, have a look at https://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1053970

Im not sure if your question was directed at me Cruiser, but I put a 1989/90 AW4 up against my 87 4.0 using a 1989/90 engine harness as the 87 was a standard. Everything seems to be goin in the right direction now. I had posted somewhere a question about my "won't go into revers" issue, but that turned out to be the trans rebuild shop (PM me and I'll tell you who not to use in north Phoenix) issue with gaskets.

I had engine control issues too and have done most if not all of your ground and connector refresh checks and tips - super info there so many thanks!!. I'm still seeing a Battery + latch error on my Nick-in-Time code reader (another great tip and tool!!). Do you know how the relay is unlatched? Does the ECU break the ground after three seconds? that's the only way I can see that they would unlatch it - mine does not unlatch. When I turn the key off and wait even minutes the pin 4 on the relay stays energized. If I unplug the relay it naturally unlatches and stays unlatched until I turn the key on again. I am wondering what it meant by "battery + open". I'll look closely at the wires leading to the back of the relay connector - some of the other relays were pretty nasty and had been "worked on" by a PO. I'm slowly finding those beauties.

anyhow - I'll keep plugging away at this one. Thanks!
Mark
