Ok Ive got good advice on here from you guys and I would like a little more. I found a 96 Jeep grand cherokee, 117,432 miles, 4.0, auto,4x4.It has a real good body with no dents, grill guard, all factory and averything works except 1 thing. The lady that owns it said the engine has a thrown rod.Her daughter drove it without oil.She wants 1500 for it and I can probably get it for 1200. Interior is in real good shape ,little dirty but good shape.A new enginr is not an issue and not real sure what the problem really is with the engine in the jeep. So my question-Is it worth the money? Been looking on CL and cant really get an idea of the value. We own a auto machine shop so like I said engine is not a problem. Been wantin to build a stroker anyway and dont want to tear apart my 89 so give me your thoughts. Thanks

If you know what your doing mechanically, that price is almost unbeatable.

well for 1200 it doesnt sound bad at all. i would bank on it needing a new engine to then build a stroker out of. and figuring out how much that will end up costing you with your awsome hook up for that. then add them together. add about 300-400 and see if it seams worth the effort to you. i would think yes. my guess would be after getting a engine, stroking it ect you would be about 3k$. not bad for a stroked semi-lower mileage Grand Cherokee.
