I'm looking for an OE replacement radiator on for my 99 XJ.
I'm on my third radiator for my 98 in the past 5 years and yes. Previous two were from Nappa and Advanced Auto Zone. They always develop a crack in the plastic tank on the passenger side and it always happens in the dead of winter. I'm not sure if it's my driving habits, or if the plastic is just becoming too brittle in the sub zero temps. So I'm shopping for a new, metal tank rad for my 99. So far I have my options narrowed down to a CFS 2 row, or a MOPAR HD. Both can be found on Rock Auto. I don't want to do any mods to get these to fit.
I've heard mixed reviews about the CFS and the MOPAR is really expensive, almost $100 more than the CSF. So I'm looking for some suggestions here.

The best would be a flex-a-lite, but that is an expensive handmade, U.S. made last radiator that you will ever buy for that Jeep - doesn't matter what temperature drops that it experiences.
Cheap end is buy it straight from China on Amazon without an additional charge for a core. I got one for about $40 flat.

It all so has a life time warranty . I all so have a 2001 XJ and I use my AC a lot and never had a heating problem .

Probably not what you want to hear, but my original Mopar HD one lasted about 18 years. The Chinese replacement went straight to the dump. The next one was another Mopar HD, so far so good, almost 2 years.

Sorry for the late reply fellas.
That champion rad isn't too much cheaper than the mopar. So I think I'm going to stick with the Mopar HD. Buy nice or buy twice I suppose.
I need to investigate another small detail. The radiator in the 99 has another large black radiator in front of it which my 98 doesn't have. I'm not sure yet what's pumping through it so I'll need to check where these hoses are going. Thinking A/C condenser, but it's awful big.

Okay so the large black radiator in front of the stock radiator on the 99 is the A/C condenser. Which I’m not worried about replacing atm.
I think I’m going to go with the Mopar HD all metal radiator and I’ll be adding a dedicated transmission cooler if I can find a spot for it as I do intend to do some towing in the near future.
The Cold Case is slightly out of my budget for performance I’m not entirely sure about. There doesn’t seem to be any reviews on that rad. The summit racing rad to me just seems like a rebranded CFS. The Mopar radiator I’m looking to get is posted on rock auto Mopar part number 52079682AF. I’m not sure what “w/o max” means but it’s described as a heavy duty radiator priced at $268.
EDIT:
It appears as if the Mopar radiator listed above may not be metal tank construction so I will most likely have to go with the “Heavy duty cooling” option priced about $50 more. I’m now leaning towards the CFS as it’s priced cheaper and has the feature I’m looking for.

Supposedly Cold Case is a relatively new company, a subsidiary of a larger company. I've heard good and bad about the CSF, and again, you'll always find 100 opinions on everything. For like 180, it would probably be the best option, and at least it has a 2 year warranty.
