We shouldn't be talking about add a leaf kits and better ride in the same paragraph.

I didn't buy an OME to say I spent the most, therefore I have the best. I am Frugal. I didn't want to buy anything twice.

I didn't buy OME because the Internet said it was the best. I bought OME because people who used OME said they had the best ride.

I do understand the theory of purchase justification....there are many products out there that I feel people are paying for a name. This instance isn't one of those. Heck, I'd pay $200 for the kit and buy it at WalMart if I thought I was getting the same thing.

Wow. Well thanks for makin my head spin everyone! j/k... There's so many options and I'm still so novice, I'm starting to think I'm just going to "budget boost" it for now and build my suspension gradually. This way I can still get an easy 2" and my bigger tires. If I go this way, I can go ahead and get some new shocks that will work when I get the real suspension components right? What would be the next parts to upgrade, lower control arms?

I run 31/10.5R15 MT baja claws on my xj with a 2" spacer up front and fullsize dodge springs in the rear (minus the main leaf) I did do some trimming on the inner fenders. Same ride, under $150.

Most of us started out with a BB lift so that's a good way to start. Teraflex has a 2" BB for a very good price.

You can use it with a lift later on for more height

When looking at the rear lift look at the differing methods this way..

Bad <---Blocks, shackles, AAL, Full springs ---> Good

Blocks and shackles change the geometery of the rear axle in relation to the Jeep. This can lead to axle wrap. Severe enough axle wrap can cause driveshaft/u-joint problems, vibration, axle shaft damage, yoke/pinion damage.
