Need info quick
t-stat $5
water pump $30-50
radiator $100
e-fan $100-150
fan clutch $ 40
chances are you wont need all of this. start with the t-stat the cheapest and work your way up to the most expensive if you get it and make sure you burp the cooling system if you change any of this or you will have an air bubble and ur xj will over heat and shut down in like 5 mins

Speaking from personal experience here- don't bother with a grand cherokee.. back when I was looking for my first car I have my heart set on an xj. But a screamin deal came around for a 93 grand cherokee so I got it.. I had nothing but trouble it.. the xj's are so much simpler and easy to work on IMHO.... so finally eight years later I got an xj finally.. just hold out and get exactly what u want.. my 2 cents

If it has a bunch of new stuff they were obviously having issues with it.. why would sink all the money into it and turn around and sell it for 800 bucks if it was all fixed and running good? Sounds like they r trying to unload their problem on someone else.. again just my 2 cents.. something to think about...

those grand cherokees sometimes suffer from electrical gremlins. since it has the 5.2 v-8 it is probably np249 allwheel drive - the viscous couplers in these transfer cases tend to go bad. be careful and ask lots of questions...
good luck in your quest!
