OK so I was considering the Titan 4.9 L engine for my powerblock...I'm going to be rebuilding transmission, clutch, and transfer case...so I know all of that will be stout enough...As for suspension I was considering the 4.5 RE Superflex. Now that I got you all curious as to why I'm posting this thread...I am in need of your all's opinions on if these modifications will suit the towing of a 1981 Miller Wildcat welder. Now this is not your typical welder...This thing takes up the better part of what used to be a two-horse trailer...(I'll try posting pictures of it)...and weighs enough that we needed a tow truck just to lift it onto our trailer...Let me know how you think my XJ will stand up with these mods to a monster welder!!!!

 

Id buy a old cheap truck to haul that

 

I have a 90 F-150 I could fix up to haul it around...But It needs a lot of work and my XJ is pretty close to being finished...
