Quadratec lists pre 1991 length 7.5" and after 1991 8.25". Morris jeep lists the same lengths.

In the catalog images, the TJ bushing is different than the XJ. Do you use the TJ bushing or reuse the XJ bushings?

IDK about the bushings... I guess reuse the XJ ones if theyre in good shape... On the pay it forward thread in the FS section someone is giving them away

I don't think TJ links will work so well; I had a TJ and had to replace the sway bar links since the ones I had were worn out. TJ's use an odd link that's more expensive and (IMHO) weaker than XJ links, because the part that bolts through the sway bar is a pressed ball-in-socket joint instead of the simple steel shaft that XJ's use. (I don't know if all years of TJ used this link, but my 97 did, and so did a relative's nephew's 05 TJ.)

You may want to look at snagging the front anti-sway bar from a V8 ZJ Grand Cherokee; they're quite a bit thicker, and bolt right in to a Cherokee.

Here's the write-up I saw... https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/v8...o-xj-mj-20347/ I know I'm thinking about it.

HTH!

I've seen 2 different stock lengths on my XJs...90, 91, 95, and 99.

I might have to just do that next time I'm at a jy. Haha. I feel like it would be a cheap, 30min mod that will make everything so much better. Sometimes my jeep leans a little too much for my liking when I go around turns, and It's not even lifted.

Looking at Morris catalogs they list the various year XJ's bushing I.D. as follows

84-89' .86" dia
90-93' .95" dia
90-96' 1.04" dia HD
97'-01' 1.02" dia

Don't know how thick the GC unit is compared to the XJ, but I have a 98' limited with all options, 2" lift, 31x10.50 buckshots on steel rims and no problem with sway.

What size Torx is this to remove that bolt? I don't have enough to buy a full decent set but need this changed to drive.

I think on some years it was pressed in the axle so you cant remove it... i think its a 50 or 55 though

Why would you do that bet ya the bushings would be work out unless they were done right before it went in... Buy ones with polyurethane bushings!!
