Default Need help getting fan clutch bolts off

I'm trying to replace my 96 Xj's fan clutch... I just cant get the 4 bolts that are connecting the fan to the timing belt.... I've tried jamming it with a screwdriver and using a seperate wrench too hold it in place.

Tried for bloody ages and alost stripped the head of a bolt super frustrating

Any help or tips?

You can use the belt to hold the pully so you can get the bolts loose .

You place a long screwdriver between the shaft and a bolt.

This is what I've always done to get them off and never needed pen oil or anything else. but the long screw-driver usually will do the trick.
