I want to install some factory fog lights in my 2000 XJ. I am needing to know exactly what I need. Obviously I need the 2 lights, and the switch for the dash, but is there already unused wiring there or do I need to wire them? Any advice would help. Thanks!

 

Apparently there are two different switch plugs. I put an OEM switch in my 99 TJ and the harness plugged right in. My 98 XJ is a different story. The plug was different than the back of the switch.

I think if you do a search on this topic you'll find that someone has already done exactly what you're trying to do. I was for a 2000 model I think.

 

the wiring should already be present, but as stated above, be aware of the switch plug needed, remove the blank switch bezel you have now and see what the plug looks like and compare before you buy the switch, same with the plug at the bumper for the lights, check the plugs you have before you buy.
