Lightbulb Mystery Wires, and wiring? *Pics*

So, i completely gutted my engine compartment so i could clean, and paint everything, as well as rebuild my engine, and i have everything hooked back up and back into its place besides one wire..... Its a red wire, and its really long that comes out of the same wire loom that the blower motor wires come out from.... any ideas. See the picture... it might help. Thanks

Also... my blinker on the front left side of my jeep (looking at the front of the jeep) is weird... i don't know what the previous owner was smoking but there is a wire that looks like the one above that is supposed to hook up to a second horn or something according to a diagram, that he ran it to the blinker socket and stripped off the end, and wrapped it up to a metal piece, so it comes in contact with the side of the metal part of the bulb in the socket. somehow it all works.... so when i honk my horn the left front blinker will come on.... but if i don't have this wire connected the front right blinker will remain lit, with my lights on, and my left blinker wont work.... its so messed up, and confusing, but if anyone has ideas as to what is going on that would be helpful.... it all works with it connected besides that every time i honk the blinker light will come on hahaha, but i was just wondering if there is a way i can fix it back to how its supposed to work. if you look close on the lower left hand part of the second picture, you can see the mystery horn wire (?????) coming off the loom and going down behind the bumper.

anyways, kinda off subject, but the second pic is my engine compartment after many hours spent scrubbing off grease, painting, sanding, blah... but it all paid off, i just gotta finish rebuilding the engine so i can get it back on the road, i am going through withdrawals without my xj haha.

That top wire is for the underhood light.

You need to ground your turn signal light.

oh, ok.... that makes sense. I don't have a under hood light, so that would explain it not going anywhere... thanks

so if i need to ground it, then why would he have hooked it up to the horn wire... seriously, i think he might have been on drugs when fixing it... but whatever, ill mess around with it and figure it out. thanks! Ill try to ditch that wire, and run one from the light, to a ground. thanks

The hot wirefrom the horn will act as a ground until you honk the horn, then it will become hot.

Nice work man. That's a clean bay. What did you paint your airbox & electrical cover with?

Thanks, it was a lot of work to scrub 21 years worth of grease off but it was worth it. To keep the plastic parts, and the engine parts the same color and type of silver, i just used the same high temp primer and paint i am using on my engine. Its the Rust-Oleum engine paint i picked up at auto zone.. it works really good, and it bonded to the plastic really well. As for the firewall and fenders and what not i used just the Rust-Oleum primer and gloss black paint. I also painted my washer fluid tank, but i used some plastic primer first to prep because it was more of a smooth plastic.
