Default Mystery electrical connection

Above my oil filter there is an electrical plug that only has one wire going to it. Can someone tell me what this is?

Yeah it is your to your oil pressure sending unit.
BTW, Do yourself a big favor and get rid of that crappy fram filter!

No kidding. Fram sucks. It's best feature is on the OUTSIDE!

Are you getting a pressure reading? If so don't worry about it. That means it's working.
