before, my jeep used to get to around 230 temp wise. Now after putting in a new radiator, my jeep runs right under 210. is that a good operating temp? Keep in mind i live in arizona, and its about 108 degrees. Any help appreciated, thanks

 

Under 210 your good man. If you have an automatic tranny i would strongly recommend a large oil cooler for it.

 

210 is normal operating temp. You are good to go!

Well, I guess if you didn't have it on the whole time and it got hot in slow/stopped traffic, the clutch fan would be considered bad.

 

Well i just put in a new one. Could it possibly be that i have a cheap napa thermostat in there? should i put a factory one in?

 

Napa thermostats are fine. I've read your other thread and the temp gauge running between 195-205 is normal. No worries on temp based on your location

 

Your Napa stat seems to be working fine. My major ***** with the 3 I had to replace was that they opened too soon, and up here in the mountains in the winter it took forever for the Jeeps to warm up.

If you want to be sure, and considering where you live, on the borders of hell as far as temp, I might just put a new fan clutch in. Cheap and easy.
