Ya, and i deal with jeeps ALL the time, but i guess i dont know what **** im talking about. And obviously you've never used sea foam for anything. If you dont suck out that **** from the rockers and flush it thru your engine it will be toast. Trust me. Just curious VW expert, how many 4.0's like this have you fixed? Probably none.....

Wow that is a big difference!

Did it run hotter than normal or overheat at all? I would check your coolant and give that all a good flush too. Chances are the PO neglected that too.

Care to take an after pic so we can see how well it cleaned up?

Sorry, didn't see page 2 on my app where you answered the "running hot" question I asked so just ignore it.

If it were mine I would replace the oil pump with a new meling pump from Napa. About 56 bucks, on mine that I have done I replaced the pumps. If I have the pan off and it has over 150k or so, I replace the pump with a hi-quality replacement.

ill try and find a buyer for the liver and get back to ya! Lol. Ur gonna need a felpro vc gasket too, 35 bucks. I always set my oil pump pickup about 3/4" from the pan bottom and spot weld it so it doesn't move, some guys just hammer em in. But ive seen em fall out, big pain in the ***!

Other option is spending about 350-500 for a low mile junk yard engine.....

A few actually. After first using it on the Horrid sludged up VW 2.8 V6, its been done on a few sludge vehicles. You have ZERO experience with the BG product so of coarse you wouldn't have a clue Mr. Shadetree. The BG does NOT Break up the sludge, It truly dissolves the ****. It is high priority to take precaution NOT to disturb the sludge build up and create debris.

BTW I have a whole bottle of seafoam in my cabinet at work.. Why would I want to use that **** when there's a product to out perform it in anything someone would want to use it for. Seafoam is for the D.I.Y.er Shadetree guys

jeepsurfer1, you have my word. This WILL be you be your best option.
