Default My mistake

ok i decided to go on my idea of pulling the siding/molding/whatever that was nasty looking and crusty lol. Well long story short, it didnt work out too well. I have tried goof off, goo gone, goo be gone, wd40, soap and water, and even a tool to scrape with(nothing too abrasive, its a plastic tool used to scraped eurathane off car windows/ it resembles the tool that comes with the pack of goo gone) but anyways, its not soft and sticky like it looks, its hard and crusty, and if i try to pick it off with my fingernail or that tool it pulls paint off half the time. I'm lost and dont know what to do.
I was thinking about just having it linexed/bedline it myself or just buying some new molding to go over it
so post up lol im open to any ideas you got cause i have none lol

Try warming the glue up with a warm air heater or borrow the other halfs hair dryer, that should then make it soft and pliable and easy to remove.

well there is some of that too, but this is literally hard as a rock and consists of most of what you see, and believe it or not that is AFTER i tried the removers and heat, but as you see one side came cleaner than the other because it looks like the previous owner may have put them on with some sort of adhesive maybe
