1996 xj 4.0 . right above my oil filter their is a module of some sort connected. its like a little black module with a wire coming from it.
Any way, i got oil pouring out of it when the engine is running. can anyone tell me what it is?
i would take a pic but its dark now. thanks. i'm on pain pills. and i cannot find my haynes bible. thanks

 

Sounds like your oil pressure sending unit to me.
