Default Which Motor???

How can you tell if you have a 4.0 or a 4.0. H.O.?
I have a 98 sport.

The HO motors came out in 91 with the 7120 head.Then they changed the head again I think in like 97ish.. Someone chime in on that

Ive been told that all Cherokees after 95 have a higher output engine then their predecessors, but I couldnt tell you if theres a higher output engine that came along with those.

90 and earlier is "non H.O"
91 and later is "H.O"

not that it really means much though

But 00-01 was not hi output it was "power tech" lame. haha. same thing different name, with the exception of a distributorless ignition system.
